Obituary of Joanna M. Patterson

Joanna M. Patterson Age 79 of Breesport Road in Erin passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at home. Joanna was born in Elmira on July 5, 1934 to the late, Erastus and Clara (Howard) Carson. She was predeceased by her husband, George Patterson Jr. in 2000. She is survived by her son, Leslie (Alfreda) Patterson of Montour Falls, NY; dear friend and companion, Ed Masin of Erin, NY; grandchildren, Kathryn Patterson, Andrea (Christopher) Corkins, Quintin (Patrice) Patterson, Hannah Patterson, Richard (Kimberly) McAtee and Ryan (Stephanie) McAtee; great grandson, Calvin Corkins; brother, George (Grace) Carson of Newfield, NY; and nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Harold Carson and Helen Carson. Joanna was a member of Erin United Methodist Church. She was co owner and proprietor of the Chocolate Patch in Hanover Square with her sister Helen. She was also a member of Bone Builders, Erin Historical Society, and the Erin Senior Citizens. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great friend to many.
