Obituary of Marian V. Blauvelt

BLAUVELT, Marian V. Age 88 of Breesport passed away Wed. Jan 29, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.She was born March 16, 1925 in Erin, NY, to Earl and Norma (Graves) Howe.Marian was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth W. Blauvelt in 2007. Her surviving family includes her sons, Wesley (Margaret Corbit) Blauvelt of Spencer, NY, David (Deborah Stermer) Blauvelt of Erin, NY;and daughter, Lois (David) Struble of Katy, TX;grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff) VanBlaircom,Joshua (Erin) Blauvelt, Kyle Struble, Emily (Mike Lepkowski) Blauvelt, Andrew (Sara) Blauvelt and Anne (Philip Schuster) Blauvelt; great grandchildren, Jakob and Jeremy VanBlaircom, McKenzie and Nathan Blauvelt; Sisters-in-law, sisters, Betty Lindsay, Doris (Charles) Kline,Dorothy Lepley; brother-in-law, Philip Liberatore and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.Marian was also predeceased by her brothers, Earl (Evelyn) Howe, Frank (Frances) Howe, and sister, Florence (Knight) Hamilton. Sisters-in-law, Velma (William) Lindsay, Marilyn Liberatore, and brothers-in-law, Ted Lepley, Tom Lindsay. Marian and Ken were lifelong residents of Erin and Breesport communities. She was a longtime employee of Acme Stores working in the Frozen Foods Department. She was a longtime member of Breesport United Methodist Church and Charter Member of Breesport Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bird watching, puzzles and cooking.Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and around her home. Family and friends are invited to the Breesport United Methodist Church Church St. Breesport on Sat. Mar. 15. 2014 from 10-11:00 am where her service will be celebrated there at 11:00 am.
