Obituary of Raymond Easterbrook

EASTERBROOK, Raymond L. Age 80 of Reasor Hollow Rd. Big Flats, NY, Passed away on Jan. 31, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 2000 and is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Scot (Cindy) Steffen of Corning, NY,Brian (Aileen) Easterbrook of Ithaca, NY; Dear friend and companion, Sally Howe also of Big Flats, NY;Grandchildren,Sean (Samantha) Steffen, Shannon Steffen, and Kalani Easterbrook;Great grandsons, Easton and Brolin; Sister, Jean (Dr. Leon) Chamides of Hartford CT, several nieces, nephews and a host of caring friends and neighbors.Ray was also predeceased by a son, David in 1996, brother and sisters, Robert Hooey, Charlotte Stone and Helen Ebersoll. Ray was a retired machinist from Ingersoll Rand in Corning.He was a dedicated Draft Horseman, breeder and longtime area farmer.He was also a member of Big Flats Presbyterian Church, member of Big Flats Historical Society and longtime Big Flats community member. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Monday Feb. 3, 2014 from 4-7:00 pm. His service will take place on Tues.
