Obituary of Norma Davies

DAVIES, Norma J. (Robbins) Age 79 of Westlake St. Horseheads passed away Sun Mar. 2, 2014. Norma was born in Corning, NY to Van Robbins and Evelyn Little Robbins. She was predeceased by her husband Dean in 2009, son David in 2005 and daughter-in-law, Sheila Davies in 2007. Her surviving family includes her sons and daughters, John (Carolyn) Davies and Jeffrey Davies of all of Horseheads, Diane Boney of North Myrtle Beach, NC, Denise (Christopher) Sofia of Charlotte NC; Daughter-in-law, Brenda Davies of Horseheads; Grandchildren, Michelle (Jack) Wright, Lori Davies, Jeffrey Davies Jr., Danielle (Nick) Mastrantonio, Bryan and Kristen Ahrens, Sarah Sofia; Great grandchildren, Khloe Wright and Myla Mastrantonio; Brothers and sisters, Patricia Darcangelo, Edward (Carol) Robbins, Roger (Donna) Robbins, Arthur (Joyce) Robbins, Barbara Boyce, Bonnie Gillis, and Nancy Horton; Sisters-in-law, Pat and Louise Robbins; Deceased brothers, Carlton, Robert Robbins. Also scads of nieces and nephews. Some may remember her as “enormous Norma or Aunt Nirmie”. Norma was an accomplished golfer having 8 hole-in-ones to her credit and over 34 various club championships. She also assisted her husband with their concrete company Davies and Sons Concrete. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads On Thurs. March 6, 2014 from 2-4:00 and again from 6-8:00 pm. Her service will take place on Fri.
