Obituary of Beverly M. Collson

COLLSON, Beverly M. Age 65 of Horseheads passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Mon. Apr. 7, 2014 at Robert Packer Hospital. Beverly was born in Waverly NY to Myron and Nancy (Futter) Houck. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Collson; Daughter and son, Kelly (Roger Saxbury Jr.) Sanford of Elmira Heights, John (Cynthia) Collson also of Elmira Heights. Grandchildren, Andrew, Marissa and JonMarie Collson; Danielle and Jordan Sanford; Great grandson Elliot. Brothers and sisters, John (Christine) Houck of Plant City FL, Anna (Heinz) Riederer of Ithaca, NY Ida Judson, James (Joyce) Houck all of Horseheads and William (Marilyn) Houck of Brockport, NY; Sister-in-law, Genny Houck of Horseheads; Sisters-in-law, Joan (Fred) Swan of NC, Judy (Dave) Emerson of CA, Terry (Bruce) Bettis of AZ; And several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Beverly was also predeceased by her brother, Paul Houck. Beverly was a devoted homemaker, wife mother, grandmother and sister. She and her husband stayed active with several enterprises including most recently, “The Linen Closet” and “As the Crow Fly’s” at the Windmill in Penn Yan. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. April 12, 2014 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.
