Obituary of Michael A. Minwell

MINWELL, Michael A. Age 69 of Horseheads passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Mon. Aug. 4, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Frances (Dunn) Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Terry (Stolicker) Minwell; Daughter, Rebecca Bidlack of Horseheads, Son, Michael Minwell of South Jordan, UT; Sister, Jean (Dick) Coon of Millport, several other extended family members, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and close and caring friends. Mike was a retired NYS Correctional Officer having worked at Cayuga Correctional Facility in Moravia. He enjoyed playing golf, a good game of poker and watching baseball and football. He was also a veteran of the US Army and member of Elmira Heights American Legion. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Thurs. Aug. 7, 2014 from 4-6:00 pm. His service will follow there at 6:00 pm. Burial service will take place privately in Maple Grove Cemetery. www.barberfuneralhome.com.
