Obituary of Ronald H. Kenyon
Ronald H. Kenyon
Age 84 of Penn Yan and recently of Horseheads passed away November 14, 2014. He was born August 15, 1930, in Shinglehouse, PA to Lawrence and Ona (Jandrew) Kenyon. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly (Williams) Kenyon; sons and daughters, Danny (Mary Jean) Kenyon of Horseheads, NY, Lynne (Dennis) Dailey of Elmira, NY, Laurie (Thomas) Will of Tonawanda, NY, David (Gina) Kenyon of N. Tonawanda, NY; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stacie) Kenyon, Joel Kenyon, Bradley (Jessica) Dailey, Todd Dailey, Mallory (Chad) Bower, Kelly Will, Cristina Will, Thomas Will Jr., John Kenyon and Katharine Kenyon; great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Sullivan, William, Kate, Gage and Zander; brother, Leo Kenyon of Penn Yan, Jerry (Jean) Kenyon of Pamlico, SC; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Mona Ramsey. Ron was retired from the GM Powertrain Plant in Tonawanda, NY as an award winning tool repairman. He was a veteran of the US Army. Outside of the love of family one of his greatest joys was their home overlooking Keuka Lake. He also enjoyed woodworking, working on tractors and cars and working in his garden. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home Inc., 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon. His service will follow there at 12:00 noon. Burial service will follow in Rural Home Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
