Obituary of Lauren A. Peckham

PECKHAM, Lauren A. Age 78 of Ormiston Rd. Breesport passed away unexpectedly on Fri. Dec. 19, 2014. Lauren was born Dec. 22, 1935 to Augustus Newton and Dona (Colebrook) Peckham. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Joyce (Weitz) Peckham in 2004. He is survived by his wife, Julia (Leet) Peckham; sons, David and Cathy Peckham of Horseheads, NY, Kent and Christine Peckham of Statesville, NC; grandchildren, Andrew (Rose) Peckham, Nathaniel Peckham, Anna Peckham and Kyle Peckham; Brother, Darrell Peckham of Weedsport, NY; and a host of caring church family, friends and neighbors. Lauren was a lifelong member of the Horseheads First United Methodist Church. Mr. Peckham, along with his son David, own and operate LA Peckham and Son Pipe Organ Service operating in the area since 1971. He was a longtime member and past president of the Antique Wireless Association, member of AMICA - Automatic Musical Instrument Association, and was active with and instrumental in refurbishing the original theatre pipe organ in the Elmira Clemens Center. Family and friends are invited to call at Chapel of the First United Methodist Church 1034 W. Broad St. Horseheads on Tuesday Dec. 23, 2014 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon A Celebration of his life will follow there in church at 12:00 noon. Family and friends are also invited to gather for a time of fellowship in the adjoining fellowship hall of the church immediately following his service. Interment in Madison Cemetery, Madison NY.
