Obituary of Edith C. McCluskey

McCluskey, Edith C. Age 100, formerly of Perkins Ave., Horseheads and Elmira Heights, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014. Edith was born in Elmira Heights, NY to the late Frederick and Mamie (Skog) McCluskey. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Paul McCluskey in 2001 and K. Raymond McCluskey in 2005. Edith is survived by dear family friends, Linda (Lance) Snyder with their children, Avery and Landen of Horseheads and Judy Roy with her grandson, Cooper also of Horseheads, extended family members, James (Marvella) McCluskey. Edith graduated from T.A.E. in 1933 and retired from F.M. Howell, in Elmira, NY as an administrative assistant with over 45 years of dedicated work. She was an avid reader, loved to cook, avid Bingo player and volunteered countless hours at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, today, Tuesday, December 30, 2014, from 1:30-2:00 pm with her service there at 2:00 pm . Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
