Obituary of Clarence ""Ray"" R. Urbaniak

URBANIAK, Clarence R. “Ray” Age 68 of Phoenix Ave in Elmira passed unexpectedly Jan. 14, 2015. Ray was born in Elmira NY to Walter Urbaniak and Jean MacComber. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shirley (Buchanan) Urbaniak. Son and daughter-in-law, Steven (Christina) Urbaniak of Horseheads; Sister, Sandy (James) Stage; Granddaughter, Emily; Several other extended family members, nieces, nephews, close and caring friends and neighbors. Ray was a proud Veteran of the Army serving in the Vietnam War. He was employed at Flickenger’s and later retired from I.D. Booth working in their warehouse. Ray was certified thru H. & R. Block and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors. He enjoyed his computers, family vacations; travel, camping, reading, his pets and especially spending time with his family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sunday Jan. 18, 2015 from 2-4:00 pm. His service will take place there at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours at 4:00 pm. Burial with military honors at a later date in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira.
