Obituary of Dominick R. Tomassi

Dominick R. Tomassi Age 93 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Dominick was born in 1921 in Rome, Italy to the late Pio and Michalena Tomassi, and at the age of eight, immigrated to the United States with his family. He was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School and retired as a machinist from Shepard Niles in Montour Falls, NY. He was a proud Veteran of WWII serving in the US Army during WWII. He was also a member of the Elmira Heights American Legion. Dominick is survived by his loving family, wife, Jennie (Lucci) Tomassi of Horseheads; daughters, Marlene (Wayne) Adams and Kathy (David) Turner; grandchildren, Matthew (Marney) Turner and Shannon; Kevin Adams; great grandchildren, Henry Turner and Lily Adams; brother, Ralph Tomassi of FL; sisters, Josephine Tomassi of Watkins Glen and Marguerite DeFilippo of Horseheads. And several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Michael and John Tomassi. Service with the Barber Funeral Home took place privately.
