Obituary of Mary K. Clark
Mary Kathryn Clark
Age 81, formerly of Ridge Rd, and MacIntosh Lane, Horseheads, NY passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. Mary was born in Elmira, NY to the late Robert and Lenora Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dick” Clark in 1987; and siblings, Robert Ferguson and Shirley Pepper. Mary is survived by her loving family, daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Tim Schweiger of Waverly, NY and Barbara Clark of Horseheads, NY; granddaughter, Sara Jo Schweiger of Waverly, NY; granddogs, Katie and Baylee; brother, Walter Ferguson of Horseheads, NY; sister, Rose M. Ferguson of Elmira, NY; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends. Mary was a graduate of Southside High School class of 1951. Mary was an active community volunteer for many organizations. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1950. She sang in the church choir for over 50 years and was their financial secretary for many years and a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society. She was a longtime supporter and volunteer with the Girl Scouts of the USA. Mary volunteered in the gift shop at Bethany Village and was affectionately known with her MacIntosh neighbors as Bethany “Gazebo Girls.” Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Tues. Feb. 3, 2015 from 3-6:00 pm. A celebration of her life will take place in the First United Methodist Church, 1034 W. Broad St., Horseheads on Wed. Feb. 4, 2015 at 11:00 am. Burial service will take place privately. Those wishing may remember Mary with memorials to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd, P.O.
