Obituary of Gordon L. Clark

Clark, Gordon L. “Duck” age 94 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Gordon was born on January 25, 1921, in Elmira, NY, to the late Leonard and Louise Clark. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Marie Clark in 2006; and brothers, Charles Clark, Howard Clark, and Horace Clark. Gordon is survived by his loving children, Carol Robinson of Elmira, NY, Barbara Clark of Horseheads, NY, Tom (Cindy) Clark of Horseheads, NY and Brad (Sue) Clark of Big Flats, NY; former wife, Jean Clark Pierce of Horseheads, NY; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Gordon was the proprietor of Gordon Clark Plumbing, Heating and Wiring in Horseheads for over 20 years He was a charter member of the Horseheads Kiwanis Club. His love of woodworking led to the opening of the Rustic Woodshop that was located on Middle Rd. in Horseheads for almost 10 years. Gordon enjoyed history and keeping up with local and world news. He had a passion for gardening, inside and outside, especially tomatoes. Funeral and committal services will be private. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
