Obituary of Alma E. Campbell

CAMPBELL, Alma E. age 92 and formerly a longtime resident of Sand Bank Rd. in Erin passed away after an extended illness Wed. Jan. 20, 2010 at Elcor Heath Service Center. She was born Oct. 7, 1917 in Elmira, NY the daughter to the late Henry and Alice (Bowers) Durham. Alma was predeceased by her husband, Eugene “Beanie” in 1988. She is survived by her daughters and son, Donna (Ernest) Mikel of Erin, NY, Dean (Jean) Campbell of Horseheads, NY, Alice Stoll of Elmira Heights, NY; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Alma was also predeceased by her sons, Weldon and Edgar, sisters, Mildred Rhule and Frances Rose and grandson, Anthony Burnette. Alma and her husband were proprietors of Central Sands Service of Erin. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. Jan. 23, 2010 from 3-5:00. Her service will follow there at the conclusion of calling hours at 5:00 pm. The Rev. Scott Snyder will officiate. Interment at a later date in Forest lawn Memorial Park in Elmira.
