Obituary of Marjorie (Taft) Montanye

Montanye, Marjorie (Taft) Age 80 of Chemung, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Marjorie was born in Jasper, NY, to Frank and Winifred (Rice) Taft. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her childhood sweetheart, co-worker, and husband of over 60 years, Raymond Montanye in January 2015. Marjorie is survived by her loving family, Tim (Jennifer) Montanye of Chemung, NY, Bonny (Jason) Williams of Elmira, NY, Michael Montanye of Rochester, NY, Phyllis (Michael) Flemming of GA; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marietta Voorhees of Troy, PA; and brother-in-law, Lester Montanye of Pine City, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Marjorie loved spending time with her family, working in her flower garden and cooking a good meal with family. She retired as a factory worker from Westinghouse in Horseheads. She was also a proud cancer survivor. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 3-5:00 pm.
