Dear Becky, Gene, Diane, Donald, Gary & Susie:
I just recently learned of your Dad's passing and would like to tell you how very sorry I am for your loss. Don and Phyllis were not only good neighbors to us but very nice people who always took an interest in us kids and our family problems. They will both be very fondly remembered. I apologize for not being there for you as Mom took a turn for the worse and with her needs I was late reviewing the paper and didn't know. It takes a long time to heal but I am sure you have a lot of good memories that will warm you hearts and with God's help the pain will ease in tme. He was a very lovely man and you all have very much to be very proud of when you think of him. He worked hard for you and was a very special person.

Dear members of the Gray family,
On behalf of the community of the Goshen United Methodist Church, please accept our condolences on the death of Donald. He was a faithful member, a faithful keeper of the trustee's accounts clearly and precisely, and a faithful hand-carver of our church turkeys with a hand so sure and deft (and knives so sharp and true), that he is part of our lore and legend at Goshen. His record of public service speaks for itself, and we're sure it will inspire and re-inspire others to support the pubic good with the same dignity and perserverance that Don had. May God be with you in your loss here as God is with Donald in heaven. On behalf of all your friends in the Goshen United Methodist Church, Very sincerely, in Christ, Rev. Steven Peiffer

We are so very sorry to hear about Don's passing. Both of us have very special memories of the Gray Family. When Art was principal of Scotchtown Avenue, Don was very helpful when purchases were necessary to make the school a better place, and Art speaks often of how much Don's expertise and assistance meant to him. The friendship between my mom (Mardette Wilcox) and Phyllis was felt and enjoyed by all of us. By extension, we ""kids"" came to know one another, and it was such a treat for me recently to see Susie and place in her keeping a very sweet book that your mother had given to mine so many years ago. Bonnie Green and Donnie Gray - the names were absolutely meant to be joined! We are thinking of you with happy memories and remembering you in our prayers.
With love to all ~
Jane (Wilcox) & Art Groves
