Obituary of Thelma E. Fohl

FOHL, Thelma E. age 84 of Dewitt Ave. in Elmira passed away after a brief illness on Fri. July 9, 2010. Thelma was born in Buffalo, NY on Fri. Sept. 18, 1925, a daughter to the late Frederick and Ruth (Enser) Hoppe. She retired from the food service department of Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Sue (Rick) Hessel of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Marcie (Scott) Comfort of Big Flats, NY, Melissa (Aaron) Dunn of Honolulu, HI, Amanda (Ted) Harris of Rushville, NY, Eric (Olivia) Hessel of Phoenix, AZ, Tracie (Bryan) Kaelin of Seffner, FL; great grandchildren, Elijah, Hannah, Amelia and Liesel, Bryant, Kraig, and Jason; sister, Beatrice Falbo of Toledo, OH;deceased brother, Donald Fohl. Thelma was devoted to her churches and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Buffalo and Our Saviours Luther Church in Horseheads. Family and friends are invited to call at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church on Sat. July 17, 2010 from 10-11:00 am. Her service will immediately follow in church at 11:00 am.
