Obituary of Carl Spencer

SPENCER, Carl Age 85 of Elmira. He was born in 1934 in Troy, PA, son of the late Burr Spencer and Lillian Gates and passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 after a long battle with an aneurysm. In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Lois Wagner, in 2013; his son Merton; and siblings, Glenn, Donald, and Russell. He is survived by his children Dena and Steven; grandchildren Daniel, Chris, Ian, Kate, and Emily; eight great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Jane, Kathleen, and Emogene; along with several nieces and nephews. Carl was known for his strong work ethic, which was driven by his desire to provide and care for those around him. It was his wish that there be no funeral services held.
