Obituary of Creata L. Martin

Age 73, passed away January 31, 2020. Creata was born in Corning, NY and graduated from Pained Post West High School. She then continued her schooling by attending and graduating from Harper Method Beauty School in Rochester, NY. She held different jobs in her life from hairdresser to working as a clerk/secretary for her father’s business Kilburn Sheet Metal in Riverside, NY. She then held other accounting jobs, worked in retail and for after school kids’ programs. She enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. She also enjoyed being around and doting on her grandchildren. Creata is survived by her brother Merland ‘Chub’ (Denise) Kilburn, her son Richard D. Martin, her daughter Joanne (Christopher) Giammichele, her 3 loving grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb and Olivia Giammichele, and nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her father Merland H. (Clara) Kilburn and her mother, Isabelle P. (John) Ross. Friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St, Horseheads on Thursday, February 13th from 6-7 pm. Her memorial service will follow calling hours at 7pm.
