Obituary of Margaret Rose Smith

Age 78, formerly of Horseheads. Margaret passed away on Monday, August 3rd 2020. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Smith and is survived by her seven children, Ronald (Cheryl) Strong, Debra (Arthur) Wiltsie, Dannie Strong, George (Terri) Little, Linda (Elwyn) Vaughan, Robert (Jennifer) Strong, and Glen Strong; stepchildren Debbie Austin, Dawn Crans, Donald (Judy) Smith, Denise Wead and Dan Smith along with her several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Margaret’s passion for baking always brought joy to her family. She loved to sing in the choir at Oakwood United Methodist Church. She also loved playing bingo. Margaret worked as a Teacher’s Aide at T.K. Beecher Elementary School in Elmira, later retiring from Rite-Aid. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she will be greatly missed.
