This posting comes a year later.... as I have just learned of the passing of Rita's younger sister Photine... I have fond memories of the Rores family, growing up with all the Dolianites families, the annual picnics... the respect our fathers had for each other & how they strive to provde the best for their families.... through church!
Deepest sympathy to the entire family of Rores and beyond on the losses of Rita & Photine... Many prayers go out to all of you... May their memories be eternal....
Rita is actually put to rest very close to my family at Elmlawn..
God bless..... +++

Donna, so happy you were there for Rita over the years and in her last days. My brother Rich, sister Elena and I had great memories of visiting with Kay and Rita as children. Rita was always smiling, joking and engaged in often loud family gatherings. :-) We were lucky to have the example of Kay and Rita who enriched the family dynamic and with their strong example of kindness, wisdom and love. Thank you and God bless!

Oh Aunt Rita, what an honor to share the precious times we did! I was the lucky child who spent summers with you, Aunt Kay and my YiaYia in Buffalo, I will always treasure those memories and all I learned about LOVE spending that time with all of you. And now for the past 16 years you have been a part of my everyday life, how blessed am I to have that to carry in my heart. You were my hero, you gave and gave and never complained. Oh how you loved your spaghetti and your buttered noodles with cheese! and how your face lit up when I brought you spanekopeta or baklava or brought Dolly to visit, and the faces you and Dominic would make at each other and we laughed, how it touched your heart when he would say ""good night and I love you"" in Greek when we were leaving the nursing home, that and so much more, and you did it all with GRACE~ I'm so glad you were here with me for the past 10 weeks surrounded by love and warmth, that is priceless and it was an honor to be with you. I know you're in heaven dancing with your loved ones you so missed. Fly high my beautiful angel and know you will never be forgotten, ever, for love never dies....I miss you

I was shocked and heartbroken to see this obituary. I loved Rita and her family so much as I worked at Bethany until I retired. Donna and Tina are such loving, wonderful friends. I have COPD and can’t come to the funeral but please know how much you are in my thoughts and prayers. My first memory when I saw this was her asking for a cup of coffee and sitting in the lobby waiting for family to come see her. They always came! What a family!

My Aunt Rita was a gentle and loving person. She weathered the storms of life with grace and dignity. She always had a smile on her face and a laugh or two to share. I fondly remember her taking me to the movies, shopping at the Farmer's Market, Sattler's and AM&A's (some her favorite stores). One particular movie that I'll never forget was Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I can hear her laughing, while I sat there thinking, ""wait a minute, there's not even a horse, it's a guy with 2 coconuts""! I didn't appreciate the humor back then, but now I can't watch that scene without hearing Aunt Rita laughing. She loved coffee, Pudgies pizza, pasta, and of course, Greek food. When I visited Aunt Rita at Bethany, I would try to make her a home cooked meal or pick-up her favorite take-out. She was always happy to see me and always had a smile on her face and a laugh or two to share. She will be greatly missed
May she rest in eternal peace. ❤️

I remember Aunt Rita from when I was a child. She was my father’s aunt and she was a very loving, sweet relative who loved to laugh and show affection. I have very fond memories of that time in my youth, I wish I got to spend more time with her...
