I’ve known you all my life
I knew you as a girl, a woman, mother and wife
I’m still your sister but you aren’t mine
Through the years, we’ve been separated by distance and time
But it never mattered, we’d always catch up
We’d share stories of our kids, husbands and stuff
You gave me your caring, your laugh and hugs
You gave me kindness, thoughtfulness, concern and love
You shared your love of beauty in nature and things
Music, dancing and songs to sing
You brought me into your light like no other
You gave and gave like a second mother
Nora, I’ll miss your pink and sparkly ways
I’ll remember you and talk about you till the end of my days
