My thoughts and prayers are with you all today. I am not available for the calling hours but I would have loved to have seen those of you that knew me. Kate, (Mrs. Rice) to me, was such a special person. Bob and I were a naive young couple with a new baby when we rented the house next door to her. She shared her expertise on gardening and many other things and we never, ever forgot her. After we bought our own home and had our second and third child we continued to go back to visit every Halloween until the kids got old enough to want to do their own thing. We have special memories of those times!!! I was so happy to re acquaint years later when Marion's family chose my preschool for her children. Anyway...know that Kate touched many lives and we were better for it!
