Ethan Mann

Obituary of Ethan Andrew Mann

Ethan Andrew Mann left this life to begin his next adventure on December 30, 2019. He was 51. Ethan was born is Syracuse and raised in Elmira, NY, where he graduated from Elmira Free Academy. He attended Corning Community College where he studied Auto Repair. Ethan struggled with mobility issues for most of his adult life, so his list of professional accomplishments was not long. His successes were of a far more personal and lasting nature. Ethan took great joy in caring for his family, friends, companion animals and our home. Ethan was often the first to offer a helping hand to friends, neighbors and strangers alike. Ethan loved gardening and tending his houseplants. He loved to cook and his family will miss the pots of chili he served on cold winter evenings. His linguine and clams was second to none. An avid Steelers fan, Sundays were often spent watching football and hockey or quietly playing cards with his wife, whom he often defeated. Weekday afternoons were spent with our grand-daughters after school with a cup of hot cocoa and a game of Uno which they never let him win. There was definitely cheating involved! Ethan is survived by his loving wife Stephanie and the step-daughter he helped raise, Tabitha Arnold. He is also survived by two sons, Jacob Mann and Caleb Mann and his daughter, Victoria (Michael) Cappelluti and their children. He is also survived by step-daughters Rebecca and Kathryn Moxley, and Breanna Martin, as well as step-son Matthew Martin as well as grand-daughters Madilynn and Kamilla Lazcano and Noelle Sylvester. Ethan also leaves behind his father, Sidney J. Mann and sister Francesca Palladino, a niece and two nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Cesari Mann. To honor Ethan's life, kindly consider a donation to the Chemung County SPCA.
